Grad School, Mats !!!!!!!!!!

Ok I know that people do survive the grad school application process, but right now it is super OVERWHELMING!!! Like there are so many schools to chose from, recomendations, MATS,GRES, Apps the list jsut goes on and on!!! How did you guys do it? Do you have any tips. I feel like I am high school senior all over again. A bit of background, I am looking in to Education/ Instructional Technology. I thought that there where only a few schools that had this, but I was wrong, so I was at first considering a good University by my hometown, but now I am thinkng South? Who knows... if you have any advice that would be great!!

What part of the process are you questioning?

Each program has it's entry requirements-- depending on the program and school, you will have to take an admissions test-- GRE is the most common. Most programs also have a GPA requirement- but the more selective the school, GPA requirement may not even be listed-- they'll just take the best of the applicants.

I have no idea what the MAT is-- closest thing I could think of is MCAT or GMAT. lol. Sorry, I'm a business major. lol.

GRE has gone totally CAT (Computer adaptive testing) and you have to shell out 105 bucks a pop so don't go in without preparation unless you have cash to spare. lol.

There are three sections of the GRE- Verbal, Quantitative, and Analytical. Each section has a total of 800 pts and from what I've seen, many programs take a combo of two sections as a set minimum for admissions.
