What happens after graduation?
 

Hey everyone, I just had a question...my chapter is just a few years old, and we don't have an alumni chapter set up yet. Sooo, I have pretty much no idea what exactly the alumni's role IS. Yes, I am quite the ignorant one, hahaha :p Do you still hold meetings and events? Also, what sort of structure does an alumni chapter have? Do you write up your own constitution? I'm very interested in learning about it since alot of us including me will be seniors next year, and we should probably get cracking on starting our own alumni chapter! :D

Cloud9, check with your Headquarters and see if they have any formal set up.

We started our own and meet once a month to just BS!

One of the Alums sent out an E-M stating that it is awesome to see a bunch of 50 + Brothers laughing so hard there were3 tears in all of our eyes.

Since you are a young chapter set someone up as the keeper of Data, e-m, phone, and home address! Do that soon so you do not lose touch with your members as they will spread to the 4 Winds! Start now and it will be a lot easier down the road whe you have say 500 + Members!:)

I know our alumni chapter is supposed to be our link to the community, where as the collegiate chapter is our link to campus. =) The alunmni chapters help us by volunteering to be advisors, dontating time and money to our projects, and teaching us about what came before. They have their own meetings, and I suppose rituals. I think they have maybe one or two events as well, but not as many as us. They also basically run the national organization :D

For us we are supposed to have an area alumni chapter (hasn't formed yet for all I know)...

Each individual chapter in our area also has a Chapter Support Committee that advises exec on a one-on-one basis and meets once a month (or bimonthly).

We also have a housing corporation in charge of our plant.
