GPA and other question which is confusing

Hello men of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity,Incorporated

I have a GPA question since there are not many Iota in my area and I can't find the answer to my question through your organizations chapter web sites and national web site I figured best way to find out is to ask. What is the GPA requirement for Iota?
Secondly, I am interested in Iota because of the organization's willingness and conviction to buck the conventional thoughts of previous organizations and make their own path but I admit that I have interest in another organization with Iota coming very close to it in my mind and soul, I just recently started exploring Iota and I am very interested but I just don't know how to make up my mind, several of my actions lead people to believe I am going to pledge a certain organization which I still might but I have never been a conventional individual so my thoughts change, but I am still terribly confused. So I ask besides the GPA question, were there any current brothers who thought of pledging another organization seriously but found the light of Iota so strong and comforting they chose Iota for that reason? How did you make your choice/and what makes Iota unique to you and differs it from other organizations?

Well thats it, thank you for your yime and hope to hear from you.
Peace and blessings.

What up Ravant? The minimum required GPA on most campuses is 2.5. Ravant the best way to make your decision is to know who you are first. Secondly, don't make you decision based on stereotypes about that organizations, b/c you never know an organization until your a member. Thridly, RESEARCH that organization NATIONALLY, REGIONALLY, and most importantly LOCALLY.
Many people thought I would pledge a certain organization b/c of stereotypes. When I really, really thought about it I realized that the organization was nothing about or for me BECAUSE I KNOW WHO I AM. So don't let other people push things in your head saying what you look like or what they see you as b/c that does not matter. When I was introduced to IOTA I RESEARCHED the organization and realized these brothers stood for something I stood for. Like I told the bruhs (now my bruhs) I'M GOING TO BE MYSELF WITH OR WITHOUT A FRATERNITY. I'm not downing any other organizations but IOTA is SUPERIOR and UNIQUE to me b/c WE walk the walk we were founded on. (BUILDING A TRADITION NOT RESTING UPON ONE)
Greek life is not for everyone, but as long as your doing something positive for yourself and others, not being in an orgainzation should not matter.

Hey! Ravant, if you would like to discuss this with a brother of Iota Phi Theta, I'm currently in the Queens area for the summer. You can email me at mista_biggs147@yahoo.com for more info.

I agree. I knew a lot of folks in other fraternities that I was, and still am, hella cool with. Folks that knew me could not peg a frat I seemed interested in because I did not fit any mold that is very apparent on my campus. I was fortunate enough to meet bruhs that did not go to my school and they all were different, but also goal oriented.
I did months of research before coming to a decision. Iota actually sparked my interest in frats at all because I never intended to become a brother of anything going into college.
The most important thing before choosing an org, like my frat said, is to know yourself. If you feel you need to pedge, you are not ready. It has to be something you want. I got involved with many student groups and got to know a lot of people before my process. I wanted peopl to say, " Joe became an Iota." not, "There's another Iota on campus."
I hope this helps. Remember, pick whichever makes you happy because no frat is for everybody ( otherwise we'd all be Alphas).:)
