Gamma Chi application
 

Is there an application that we get. maybe I'm just out of it, but I didn't seem to get one?

Both Volgirl2376 and canadajen are part of the scholarship committee (they signed up/volunteered through prospectiverushee and myself). Sorry to get back to you so late about it, it's Dead week this week, finals next week.. I am so ready to be done!!

What happened to me?
 

I put a message up a long time ago and I was never contacted....and now i'm not on the list...this is very depressing to me...

I'm not on the list. I didn't apply so I need to do that. What if I don't want to use my last name? Who should I contact? What should I do? I'm confused. :confused:

I think I should clarify something. A lot of people found the original Gamma Chi thread and thought that they'd like to participate. They'd post something like, "This is great! I want to be in Gamma Chi. Please e-mail me and tell me what I should do."

I don't know if these people read the entire thread, but it was stated several times that those who had signed up to be on a committee, or who had signed up to be a Big/Lil, would be on the Alpha Class list.

I personally posted the committee list, which had the members' names, several times. Additionally, myself and other committee members posted "advertisements" encouraging people to join our respective committees. It was up to each individual to read the posts, follow the instructions, and PM someone from the committee.

So, if you're wondering why your name isn't on the list, it may be because you forgot to do one of the two things required to be in Alpha Class. Just as a point of reference, we've been working on this since March. Bascially, if you're just reading about this now.....

I understand that there were a lot of posts going on - it's hard to keep up with everything. All is not lost! You can still join! Just please sit tight and patiently wait for the information to come across the wire, k?

Don't worry, you'll be a Gamma Chi yet! :)

I've been away from GC for awhile. What is Gamma Chi? Can someome help me out? Duh, I should do a search in the Greek Life forum. I'm pretty sure they'll be some info here.

To answer Cream....

1) You don't have to use your last name, however if GX becomes big you will probably have too. The last name to email the app just made it easier for those of us collecting them to divide them up, so that more then one person was getting hit by apps.

2) Did you sign up for a committee? If so, what one.

I know that everyone wants to be a member of Gamma Chi or has some interest in it. Just because you arent in the first new member ceremony doesnt mean you cant be in it. All of the Alpha Class are people who JOINED committees and/or became Bigs/Lils. The list is from the lsit that we got from each committee. Committee's or committee heads if you havent given us all the names of the people on your committee...PLEASE DO, so that we know who is in and who is out. If you didnt have the time to work on a committee dont worry your time to become a new member of GX will come soon
