Excellent Speaker for Greeks

Hey, I just got out of a speaker tonight, and he was fantastic, and I reccomend that any campus IFC/NPC/NHPC or Greek Affairs Office schedule him for a visit.

His name is Will Keim, member of Delta Upsilon. I think he's a campus minister at Oregon State. He was a phenomal speaker, and very well attuned to a college audience. He gave some great words and points on what will breed success for fraternities and sororities. He gave some great information in dealing with those questions we all get from Independents such as "Well I didn't have to buy my friends"

Check out his website

I totally agree with Betarulz!, Will Keim spoke at our Greek Week convocation last year, and he is totally amazing. I have never seen a room full of greeks more entranced by a speaker, not even during our initiations! Will Keim rocks!!!!

Another Awesome Speaker

I havent had the chance to hear Will Keim speak, but another awesome speaker is Mike Green aka "Greenie".
Green is a recovering alcoholic who goes around talking about his experiences, those of people who he coached on sports teams and coahes he knows and also of Greeks. Ive seen him twice and would see him again. He hands does a survey of the room to see how often people drink and other activities. You would never believe how many hands shoot up and how everyone looks around the room in amazement because everyone is pretty much a "One Night Stand". Which means because of the way you drink, there will be one night that you do or have done something that you will regret, even if you're just a social drinker.
It's a talk primarily for Greeks and athletes but the student body is always welcomed and he always has a full room. In fact he is so good that Panhel and IFC made it mandatory for all new members to see him. If not there was a penalty (unless you had class or something you couldnt get out), but he's worth seeing. I recommend him to any Greek Council and college student bodies in general.

At our 2001 Convention in Atlanta, we were fortunate to have T.J. Sullivan from CampuSpeak. I'm pretty sure some of you are already familiar with him. His specialty's with Greek Life--and the title of his presentation is "Confronting the Idiot in your Chapter." His talk was very insightful...and it helped us out a lot!!!

Will Keim spoke in Chicago in February at the MGCA conference. He is a wonderful speaker and I recommend him to anyone. Out of the four speakers we had, I learned the most from him. I would also suggest Andrea Cooper. She also spoke at this conference, however, she had visited the University of Akron in the fall. She speaks about her daughter Kristen who was acquaitance raped and then committed suicide. Very powerful!

Two wonderful speakers....if you have not heard them yet, you might want to!
