Grafitti Party?
I think I get the general idea, but can someone tell me exactly what a Grafitti Party entails? I've never heard of that theme 'till now.
|
its basically an exchange where everyone wears white shirts and writes on everyone else. it is also called a highlighter party because you can use highlighters and have black lights on so the writing glows. they are a lot of fun.
|
I loved those parties because it was a great way to meet guys!:D
|
Except don't show your parents the t-shirt the next day. ;) You might get teased mercilessly.
|
This is my favorite social of all time! It's a great way to meet people because you have all these people you don't know writing all over you. Be advised that it can get crazy!
|
I went to one of these, and it was so much fun! People write the craziest things on your shirts!!:p
|
Those are some of the best socials. But, they are definitely shirts that I hide whenever my parents come to visit. ;)

The Delt Sigs have a Grafitti Party every year. They are so fun! ALL the Greeks come out to it, and it's a great way to meet people. It's better to throw them in the fall when it's still warm out and all the new members can easily meet all the Greek actives. That's how I got to know the pledges that semester. For this year's I took out my old shirt and it got me pumped up and ready for the party!

similar idea
Have you guys ever had Day-glos? They're done at my school and are a lot of fun. They're usually held at fraternity houses, and everyone wears white clothes (things you can throw away, like undershirts and boxers) and the walls are covered with black trash bags. You slip and slide around all over the place as you throw paint and soap all over each other. It's messy and a little dangerous (the next day we all had bad bruises and a few cuts) but everyone lets loose and has a great time...:D

The Graffiti Party I went to was a private party held by the TKEs on our campus. We didn't have to wear white, but you wanted to wear something that showed skin. Most of the guys were shirtless, and I personally wore a really tiny crop top. They had magic markers and highlighters to write on people with. They didn't stay on forever cos they were washable, but it was really cool. I thought it was fun, and it was neat to think of things to write on people.

OMG! I think I burned my grafitti party shirt :) LOL! It was from my now-husband's fraternity social and if he saw some of the things his brothers wrote/and -or drew on my shirt, he probably would have beat those boys to a pulp
I think it can be fun, but get a few beers into those guys and it can get kind of vulgar. It can also turn into an excuse for them to use a marker to...how do I say this politely...feel you up....that is until you give them a good smack for trying it :) Just be smart :) PS: I hadn't heard of the highlighter version..that sounds cool! |
We have a Graffiti mixer every year with the TKE's the thing is we dont use markers or highlighters, we use PAINT! It is soo much fun we just cover each other in it. The only thing is, you find paint in your hair and stuff for a few days, but it is sooooo worth it!

what fun!
OMG, at our last Day Glo I was in the shower at the sorority house for like 40 minutes trying to wash off all the paint! My clothes were ruined. The funny part was watching all the paint from the other shower stalls (we have the group shower bathrooms)washing down the center drain, which I was the "lucky" one to be in. I think our shower tiles were stained for a good week from all that. Anyhow, Day Glos are the best!!
Tara i have a Phi Mu castle... |
