Candlelighting ceremonies for all groups?

I already posted this in the SAI forum. I am a DZ and SAI and for DZ we have always had candlelighting ceremonies for engagement, getting a fraternity drop, etc. One of my SAI sisters thought it was cool that I had a DZ ceremony for my engagement last year and she wants an SAI candlelighting. I am making the candle/flower thing for her 'cause I think it is a good idea. We have never done candlelighting in SAI though and I was wondering if anyone in non-NPC groups had done one or heard of one being done...

I'm in Phi Beta, which is an arts fraternity. My chapter never did candlelights or special ceremonies for things like engagements. But we're also coed, so we didn't do those more "girly" things anyway. (Sorry, don't know a better way to put that! ;) )

We had a few local sororities (no NPC) on campus, and I'm pretty sure all of them had special events like candlelights for engagements, weddings and other personal events.

Xi chapter of SAI has been doing candlelights for years. It's the standard candle pass: 1 lavalier, 2 pinned, 3 engaged, etc. They also do a pass once a trimester when grades come out, and you get to blow out the candle if you have the highest GPA for the term.
