PKA fire

The PKA house down the street from us caught on fire just a short while ago. I went down there and the flames were gone, but there was a good amount of smoke still. I was told by someone else that they heard everyone made it out okay, I hope so.

I was at a national Sigma Nu event last year and heard a lot about fraternity houses around the country burning. A lot of them were PKA houses if memory serves. I just hope no one was hurt.

We all hope that everyone got out safely.

Fires in their housing is, after alcohol, one of the biggest risk management problems facing fraternities.

It's curious that when I was an undergraduate, the local Pike chapter had an antique fire engine they they drove around town, in parades and to football games.

Guess they could have used one in Oxford tonight.

DeltAlum,

They do, in fact, HAVE an antique fire engine in their driveway. Seems to be a trend among their chapters.
