I want to go surfing. Does anybody here know how?

Like half the guys in my house surf regularly...I want to learn, but I just haven't had the time to go out yet.

Dad first threw me on to my first board when I was 5...and I've been hooked ever since!

Still, I prefer bodyboarding over long/short boarding. My current ride is a 2001 elemenohpee Skipper model. Blue w/ grey rails and black pin. It really takes me where i wanna go!!! And I get to hang like the big boys!

Ironically, my favorite place to surf in the country (aka the North Shore) is nicknamed OTW--Off The Wall. :D

What a great site, Amy! Too bad I don't live in CA...or else I'd apply to be an instructor in a nanosecond!

I checked the instructors' bios and many of them look very familiar....

I went last summer and it was a blast. I got sunburn and mean looks from real surfers. But it was the most fun i have ever had!!! We have a couple guys that surf, but only one lives close to water. I am like 2-2 1/2 hours away from closet beach at home. :( Ohe
