New Event Ideas
 

I'm looking for some new ideas or events/activities/fundraiser/ philanthropies. It seems we see the same ones over and over, not that there're not cool, but I like to do some new stuff.

So if your chapter does something unique or awesome I love to here about it.

PS. A special shout out to my big Val aka Fuzzie906. I know shes been having a rough go lately (rollerblade mishap and car crash) and I just wanted to say thanks for being the best big ever and I know she needs lots-o-encouragment right now:D

Hi little
 

Little all I have to say is I Love you!! thanks for listening to me when I needed ya! I am so proud of you and seeing you really come to life in the chapter after the busy part of your semester is over.

To everyone reading this, I now have three active littles in my chapter... all three are older than me and prolly wiser but hey live and learn... I am so proud of each of them and they are all beautiful young women. I am also proud to say I am the only big with three ACTIVE littles!

do any of you have good stories with your bigs/littles?

Something we started to do when I graduated was the Alpha Bowel. (We did it with AOTT), but the chapter itself could do it alone. It was a flag football tournament for all the organizations on campus. And then the winning team got some big trophy and whatnot, and the proceeds were divided between choose children and the winner's philanthropy. LXA also had a canned food drive too. You had to donate food to register.

Our chapter did a used clothing drive - put a box in the dorms/houses/cafeteria - and donate it to a shelter or cause like Goodwill.

Rib-Tasting
 

One thing my chapter did this year was we hosted a rib-tasting. We got together about 7 coaches of the football them and got them to cook ribs. We then had two judges judge the ribs and name one the winner. We auctioned off the winning ribs and some other Auburn stuff. Our total amount of money raised for the organization we were doing the rib-tasting for was $12,000 and this was our first year.
