Hello sisters of Pi Phi,

I am the President of the Alberta Alpha Chapter in Canada. I've been with the Greek system for 4 years now and this being my final year. I wanted to ask the bigger and more successful chapters what it is that you do to recruit over 50 or more girls during your major recruitment. I know that in the US, there are more ladies that are involved in recruitment, there is a strong sense of anti-Greek here on my campus. But each year, we as a Chapter go through recruitment thinking that we have done the best that we could possibly and we always finish recruitment week with a very strong feelings that it was our best recruitment yet, however, each year we fail to reach quota.

Also, we do well during COB but it always seems that the second semester is always the toughest to get girls...what can we do?

I can completely relate to having problems with recruitment. I attend an urban university with 12K students, most of whom are non-traditional, and only 400 or so live on campus. We not only have a hard time with recruitment with our own numbers, but we have a hard time just getting girls to rush! I am just a JI, but I know how it went down last semester for everyone. We did really well in spring COB, getting 7 girls, compared to the 3 and 1 the other two NPC groups got. Anyone who has really good rushes have any ideas?

Have y'all checked with the rush specialist with Nationals? She's supposed to be full of ideas!
