Eta
 

Does anyone know why, when naming chapters, we skipped Eta? We have Zeta Something chapters and Theta Something chapters, but no Eta Somethings. Does Eta Pi just sound too scary? But I know other sororities have Etas!

My understanding is that we didn't want to take a chance on the jokes using "ate a something" so we just skipped the letter eta.

wow, i never even realized that before! our ELC is here this week, i will ask her and see if she knows!;)

I had never ever noticed that we had skipped Eta in the naming of chapters...how interesting!!
I would love to know the reason behind that (if it is the "ate a" thing then i think it was a good call!!). Hope everyone is having a good week!! Happy day after Founders Day!!

ZTA on our campus was chapter eta zeta...well, you can only imagine the jokes!

Wow i never realized that there wasnt eta I am in the Alpha Eta chapter at Purdue so i never really thought of there not being and eta :)
