Need Advice on Being a Rho Chi

I'm debating if I should apply to be a Rho Chi or not. Ever since the fall, on the first day of Recruitment School, I vowed that I would be a Rho Chi because I hated Recruitment School so much! Now that the time has finally come to apply, I'm not so sure I want to do it or that I would be good at it. I also don't know if I want to disaffiliate myself for so long, since it will be my senior year next year. I know that the past and present Recruitment Chairs regard me as one of the top rushers in my house. I just don't know what to do!!! I've read the Rho Chi threads and you seem like you've loved being Rho Chis. I just don't want to regret any decision I make. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If you are one of the top rushers in your house, DO NOT be a Rho Chi. Your chapter should always come first, and if they need you, that's where you should be.

A couple of points:
1) Being a Rho Chi was one of my top three best Greek experiences.
2) If it's your senior year, it's your last chance to do it.

On the other hand, don't do it just to get out of Training School...do it because it's something you want to experience. I consider myself a very good recruiter (except I think I suck at prefing) and I was okay with being a Rho Chi because I knew my chapter could pull their own weight (our fall class 2001 class is great)...if you don't think you chapter will do well without you, don't do it. One of the sororities last year had their three best recruiters out as Rho Chis. The chapter didn't want them to go, but they were trying to prove that the chapter could function without them...and they didn't do well at all.
