Sneakers or tennis shoes??
 

What do you call it sneakers or tennis shoes?

I call it both. My family is from the south.:D

I call them....

Uuggghhh!!! I can't stand to hear people say tennis, or tennis shoes. I am from Chicago and some say sneakers and others along with myself say gym shoes. As tennis or tennis shoes:eek:

I say sneakers but everyone here says gym ghoes. I was born in Philly and even though I've spent the majority of my life in Chicago, I'm still holding on to my east coast roots.

I say:Tennis Shoes, or Tennis....
I think it's because I'm from the South

It's sneakers all the way baby!!! But I got fam and friends in the south, and tennis shoes is all they say.

Now I even find myself just sayin "kicks"...don't ask because I don't l know.:)

Tennis shoes are for playing Tennis

Gym shoes are for gym class or working out and

Sneakers are for sneaking around....I'm just kiddin' :p :D

NYC - We call them sneakers...although I have heard our youth refer to them as "sneaks" or "kicks".

well on the left coast it is tennis shoes and my eastcoast spouse cringes when our children request to go shopping for "new" tennis shoes (he's a sneakers affcianado)

I call them sneakers. Being from New York I also call them 'sneaks' sometimes. :D

i'm from and residing in philly and it and always was sneakers. when i was at school in dc, they called them tennis shoes and it irked the hell out of me. and i've never heard gym shoes. tennis shoes were and are the sneakers that you play tennis in or the little white KEDS that girls use to rock with tennis skirts or capris.
