Sorority Stereotypes

Hey!
I am working on a paper about sorority steroetypes and how untrue they are. I just wanted to know what sorority stereotypes you have encountered and how have you combat them? Thank You!

I'm a fraternity member... and as for sorority stereotypes, anyone that believes they exist has never met the members of even one full chapter of girls. If they were to do that, they'd notice what a diverse group of people live under one roof and call eachother sisters.

I figure stereotyping greek members is right on the same level (and I hope this is not offensive to anyone) as racial stereotyping, etc. A stereotype that would suggest for example that all sorority girls were snotty etc etc etc would be equal to saying white guys can't dance (which is in my case true, but not always!!! :D )

My school's paper did an article about this awhile back. Maybe it'll help you: http://www.kansan.com/arch/1998fall/...laugustus.html
