Perpetrators
Hello Sorors and other greeks,
Have any of you heard of or witnessed somone claiming to be in your organization when they weren't a member? I've heard a few disturbing tales of women perpetrating as DELTAs and actually witnessed one incident when a young lady claimed to be a soror and wasn't. She claimed to be a member of a chapter from another region. Little did she know a soror from that chapter was at the party and proceeded to wreck her! Another acquaintance of mine (non-greek) admits she purchased and wore greek peri at college parties, so she could get a discount. Knowing how hard I worked for my letters, it's disturbing to hear or see people pretending to be a part of DST. Any thoughts or similar experiences? I'm new to the board so I apologize if this topic has been broached already. I did a search and found nothing about this subject. And since I'm new, I'll introduce myself. I crossed in DELTA SIGMA THETA sorority, inc. on April 8, 2001 (my 1st deltaversary is in 3 days)! at the University of Missouri. I graduated in May and am currently a member of the Omaha Alumnae chapter, where I am a reporter for the CBS station. |

This is apropos of nothing except I"m from Omaha and I hope you are enjoying your time there. Carol Schraeder (ABC I think) is a Zeta Tau Alpha alumna. She and I (both) graduated from UNO, Gamma Mu chapter.
Hootie, another GC regular, is also a UNO graduate and a Chi Omega alumna. I'll be back in the Big O in 2 weeks for a wedding. I'll look for you on the news! |
