Hi everyone,

I am not sure if this is the right place to post, but I need a place to vent.

I rushed GPhiB earlier this spring and got in. The night I got my bid card, my roommate (who did not rush a sorority) talked me out of going through with pledging. She pointed out that I was very busy, and told me that I was "too sophisticated" for a sorority anyway (whatever that means).

I started thinking over what she had said. On one hand, I was so excited about having gotten into GPhiB, but was worried that I wouldn't have time or be able to afford it. So, after a night of worrying and not sleeping, I decided not to sign the bid.

I TOTALLY regret that now. :mad:

It kills me that I got in but didn't join. I could be having so much fun, but I'm not. I don't know what to do.

I blew it.

Actually I believe that you could still pledge GPhiB if that is in your heart. I would contact your local chapter's membership chairman and explain your situation to them. I would think that, under the circumstances, they would invite you to dinner a couple of times to reacquaint themselves with you and if the chapter size allows it, offer you a COB bid.
