Question about Badge Pendant!
 

Do any of you alums wear the Pierced Badge Pendant?

I just received mine today in the mail and I'm having trouble assembling it. When you put the little pin thing through the hole, is the clasp supposed to close? Mine doesn't, but the Badge itself is set so it doesn't move.

This got me thinking...do any of you illustrious alumnae women here on GC wear any of the Honors of Epsilon Pi?

And for the collegians...which dangles do you have? I have my chapter guard, Personal Development, Social, and Convention dangles.

I was sister-mother coordinator. It actually use to be a "real" chair before IHQ consolidated offices. Our alums brought it back for me cuz they wanted me to experience an office. I want a dangle but they dont have any for me and I just wouldnt feel right wearing a sisterhood one ya know. I might just get a Big/Lil heart dangle and use that :). No Honors here yet, but maybe some day :D

I never bought any dangles. I was going to for my birthday, but well, stuff happened. If I did have dangles, I would have the Big Sis, Sisterhood Coor., Purchasing Coor., Rho Chi...and soon Alum. :)

I had my badge installed at Convention so hopefully they did it the right way. Not sure which one is the pierced pendant, but I think is the only with a lot of open space, compared to the disc which only as 2 or 3 open holes. I have the pierced.

The clasp does close very tightly. The "needle" is held down by 1 set prongs, space, 2nd set of prongs, space and then the clasp. It is very firmly wedged it!!

To the right (on the circle), I have my Chapter Guard and underneath the Arc.

At the moment, I only have 1 dangle from my collegiate days. I could probably add a few more, but I don't want to spend the money, lol! Besides, I would also have to take it to a jeweler so that they could be added..

Sandy, if the clasp doesn't close, I'd find a jeweler! That way you would have a professional opinion if the pendant was messed up.

I still prefer the "over the heart" but the pendant is so much easier to put on and find, lol!:)

I wear the pierced badge pendant. I should be on campus Friday around lunch time. If you are in the neighborhood and haven't found a jeweler or someone to help you, stop by... I'll see if I can figure out what's wrong.

I haven't had a chance to reassemble my pendant since upgrading my badge to the pearl with tiffany diamond and receiving my arc last year. Hoping to get it all put back together in time for initiation next month.

Once assembled it should be quite a sight... I've got my chapter guard and the arc... and then I've got a convention dangle, order of the rose charm, and chapter advisor emblem :)

Even though I've had an office every year for the past 4 years, I don't wear any dangles. For some reason none of the girls in my chapter ever have. I think I kind of like the pin worn alone anyway.

It too wear the pierced badge pendant and bought it when BPA introduced it at a Convention back in the mid-1990's. I couldn't get my Honor to wrap around the thickness of the pendant and asked BPA what was wrong. They said they weren't able to make the pendant skinny enough to attach an Honor or a Chapter Guard because the whole thing would then easily be bent. They recommended that I send it and my badge to them and they'd grind a small indentation so my Honor would fit (free of charge). Nervously I mailed it to them and it came back very quickly and they did a great job!

Thanks for the tip Susan! It didn't look like it'd fit, but I haven't tried yet. The little link that would allow me to attach the arc to the back of my badge is no more. This arc was passed down to me from another member who now wears the arc with diamond, so I guess it fell off or broke when she tried to remove it.

Neat thing about my arc is that it was passed down from the former Chapter Advisor of Delta Sigma... one chapter advisor to the next :)

Guess my badge and arc are going for a trip to BP!
