The Battle Flag
 

TO ANSWER THE QUESTION ABOUT THE BATTLE FLAG, WE CANT FLY IT ANYORE B/C EVERY THINKS THAT IT IS A SYMBOL OF SLAVERY. WHEN IS IS REALLY A SYMBOL OF THE CONFEDERACY;S RESPONSE TO UNION AGRESSION! SOME CHAPTHERS STILL FLY THE FLAG, BUT THEY COULD GET MAJOR FINES AND PENALTIES BESTOWED UPON THEM.

ALSO, I AM A MEMBER OF THE DELTA PHI CHAPTER @ JACKSONVILLE STATE AND WE JUST GOT FINISHED WITH OUR OLD SOUTH , AND I MUST SAY IT ROCKED! BEST WISHES TO EVERYONE ELSE'S OLD SOUTHS!

I think this whole debate is kinda pointless!!! I mean the world will never understand the true meaning of the battle flag because of years of misrepresentation. I think the choices made by the order at convention(which is an awsome thing to go to) were the right ones for the order!

For God and the Ladies

I went to Convention this year, for the soul purpose of fighting for the flag. I agree, in these days and times, its probably better for the image of KA to ban the flag, for yes, misrepresentation.

But I cant get over the fact that I am turning my back on my people, my ancestors, because of it. Lee said right or wrong, he has to stay with his home. Thats also how I view it. Its hard to love something like we love KA and then have KA pass a resolution to ban something that was part of our heritage, you just dont know how to take it at first. It took me along time to realize that it was the best decision, for the Order.
