Eastern Michigan University Sororities
I'm an incoming freshman at Eastern Michigan University and am interested in joining a sorority. However, I do not know which sororities have chapters here. If you have any information on them, please reply to this post or e-mail me at xtac_gemini@yahoo.com
Thank you. |
You can go to www.greekpages.com, look under campuses and go to the EMU page. However I believe there are probably more sororities there than the ones listed - Alpha Sigma Tau has their founding chapter there and they are not on the list.

There are thirteen sororities at EMU but they are not all listed at that page. I know there is an Alpha Gam chapter there but it is not listed!

Yes--the Zeta Alpha chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta is at EMU. In fact, there is a Greekchatter here from EMU, and I'm sure she'd love to answer your questions!

The sororities (NPC) at EMU are:
Alpha Gamma Delta Alpha Xi Delta Alpha Sigma Tau Delta Zeta Phi Sigma Sigma Sigma Delta Tau Sigma Kappa Sigma Sigma Sigma I know that the greek life page on the EMU website has NO information and I can't remember how to find one of the sites that has links to the other chapter websites! I can check again and get back with you on the chapter websites. I also know that most of the houses are along Normal St and Sigma Kappa and Tri Sigma are on Forest (Tri Sigma's house has a turret!) Feel free to e-mail me with questions (or post here) or I can put you in contact with the Michelle, who is the VP for Recruitment. EMU has a great Greek Community and I'm glad that you want to be a part of it! |

Thank you all very much for your replies. Hopefully during Freshman Orientation some of the Sororities will do presentations. Well, thanks again.

Trinity,
If you're signed up for Orientation, there will be many Greeks helping with move-in-madness and acting as Orientation group leaders! Also, there will be a Greek Tent where you can get more info and sign up for recruitment. Important dates * Sept. 12 & 13: Greek Forum - All the GLOs will have tables set up in the afternoon in front of Pray Harold and you can look at their stuff and talk to the members. * Sept. 14: Last day to sign up for Recruitment (by 5pm) * Sept. 19: New Member Kickoff/Recruitment Orientation * Sept. 20: Recruitment begins! I'm a Rho Chi (Recruitment Counselor...and the only one named Leslie) so introduce yourself if you see me at the Greek Tent. Hope to talk to you! |
Thanks Leslie. I'll definately introduce myself at orientation. Just so that you know, my name is Jackie.
|
Hey Jackie, I look forward to meeting you! I am really excited for this year's Recruitment! Everyone has been working really hard and we have a great bunch of Rho Chis. (Three weeks and counting til I can move into my house!)
