Never Mind

Apparently my question on "buy a buddy" has been done to death. Sorry. Thanks for the help from those who gave it!

Kathy,
There have been a couple of threads answering this question in both the Chit Chat and Greek Life Forums.

Kathy,

Im so glad to see you posting on GC now :) There are so many interesting topics! There was a quote I saw on a signature that I think sums it up - it says something like "If I bought my friends, then I didnt pay enough!"

:D

Kathy,
If you use the search feature and search in the Greek Life forum using the keywords "buying friends" you should come up with a ton postings.

Here are a couple of the most recent threads:

http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...threadid=14925

And...before I forget...welcome to GC and I hope to see you posting like mad!

Barbara

Thanks for the feedback

and Sarah, I do like your response "If I bought my friends, I didn't pay enough!" After reconnecting with Alpha Xi the last couple of years and becoming more and more active, I am anticipating some criticism from some of my (husband's) family. He had five sisters that graduated from universities and didn't go Greek.

I'll look up those other articles and discussions and get some good ideas!

Its so good to see this forum hopping :D
I think one good thing for you Kathy - about being active with Alpha Xi, is that it gives you an outlet to friends who love you! I think being in the alum group can give someone great support and friendship - something everyone needs after they are out of school and into the "real world".
I really look forward to learning everything I can and become involved with the college chapter - maybe thats the thing about being single - I have loads of time :)
