John Carroll University
...
|
Kappa Delta Gamma is now the 129th chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Installation was November 17, 2001.
Hope this helps! |
Here is who went where, courtesy of the lovely Alpha Xi Delta sisters at CWRU.
Meanwhile, Back At John Carroll John Carroll told its local Greeks (which was all its Greeks) that they had to go national or go bye-bye. Kappa Delta Gamma became Kappa Kappa Gamma; Theta Kappa became Kappa Delta; Pi Sigma Phi became Kappa Alpha Theta; Lambda Gamma Sigma became Gamma Phi Beta; Delta Delta Xi became Chi Omega. Lambda Chi Rho did not go national; I don't know what happened to them. |
Hee hee, 33girl, that's my website you're looking at there!

In case you were wondering about the frats as well, here's the scoop: Alpha Rho Omega --> Sigma Phi Epsilon Phi Beta Phi --> Sigma Alpha Epsilon Delta Kappa Psi --> Phi Kappa Tau Phi Alpha Tau --> Kappa Sigma Iota Beta Gamma and Iota Chi Upsilon did not affiliate with a national. Thank you!

Chances are this was posted on another thread but...why did all of the Greeks go National at John Carroll? Was this an administration thing or did one group just do it & everyone else followed suit?
|
Nothing to do with the topic, but there is a little boy in the classroom i teach at work who is named John Carroll ;)
|
All of the local fraternities and sororities were told by the administration that we either became nationally affiliated or this school year (01-02) would be our last. We actually have a couple of fraternities that either didn't match with a national or didn't go through the process and will be dying out.
|
That's kind of sad. I guess if they chose not to go through the process, that's one thing, but if they they just didn't match that's another. Have any of them contacted other national fraternities about becoming a colony?
|
The one frat that didn't match basically didn't match because they had just come back from a year of university probation and were too much of a risk. They contacted other groups than the ones that presented here, but no one wanted to take the risk since the group still didn't really have their stuff together.
