Honestly,
I have heard a whole lot of conspiracy theories...this is not one I believe. Wipe out an entire continent? What about the diamond minds? And to what end does this wiping out Africa serve? Nope, I don't believe it. But if someone... had to be a scientist did create AIDS for that purpose  what a shortsighted, heartless, evil, evil person.

We've got bigger problems than that

Even if it were true, what purpose does it serve to lament on it?

Education in Africa on AIDS, how it is contracted, and the fact that there is NO immunity is something we really need to focus our efforts on.

If I hear of another six month old baby being gang raped in South Africa, I think I might go insane (literally). In S. Africa there is a widespread rumor that sex with a virgin will prevent you from catching AIDS. :(

Now, how we can combat this gross misconception is a bigger problem than what the purpose for the disease might be.

And lets not forget that AIDS in the African-American coomunity is so disproportionate that WE must take responsibilty for what we are or what we are not doing, for what behaviors we engage in that have allowed this disease to fester among us.

At this point in time, who "created" it is much more insignificant to what we can do to get rid of it.

Well I think it is important to understand the possible histories of this disease. And if it is indeed true that it was created to wipe out a race of people then it may help us understand why there supposedly isn't a cure. Personally I believe everything is a historical process and in order to understand why things are the way they are now you have to understand how they got there. Therefor its insufficient to just ignore this.

I don't know whether I believe that AIDS was created to wipe out Africa, again what would be the reason to wipe out an entire continent. Where is the proof that AIDS even began in Africa? I have recently heard that there is a cure for AIDS but that the government isn't willing to give the money to make it available to the public. It's funny because when you think of it, the money isn't in making the cure available, it's in supplying people with medication that enables them to live with the disease.

The same goes with alot of other diseases, certain STDs...it boggles me that the doctors can't cure cancer, or herpes but they have cures for alot of other stuff, things that not many people come down with, but it seems that the diseases that are most prevelant in our society have no "cure" is it because doctors really haven't found one, or is it because its a better money maker to have someone spend the rest of their lives taking expensive medicine and practically living in a doctors office? Only the richest people have access to certain health benefits. Why is it Magic Johnson all of a sudden doesn't have AIDS anymore, while other people are dying on a regular basis. I heard on the radio that Miami has the highest AIDS rate in the whole country, that's really scary to me, definitely makes you want to turn your back on the dating scene!
