Ms. Cleo is in trouble
 

No matter how little television you watch, it's hard to miss an ad for Miss Cleo, the Jamaican psychic who, for a small fee, will tell you what your future holds. But wait! As the New York Post quipped in its headline: "Miss Cleo's Fakin'! She Ain't Jamaican." She must just be really good at accents--especially Jamaican. The Post managed to inspect a copy of Miss Cleo's birth certificate. Her real name is Yourree Dell Harris, and she was born on August 13, 1962 in Los Angeles. She's American! "Not even her parents are Jamaican or from the Caribbean," Broward County Assistant State Attorney Dave Aronberg, who's launched a lawsuit against Miss Cleo and the company she represents, told the Post. "Her dad's from Texas and her mom from Los Angeles."


Aronberg is suing Miss Cleo, charging her with being the spokeswoman for an alleged scam that involves Access Resource Services, the Fort Lauderdale company that operates the Psychic Readers Network. Miss Cleo claims in her infomercials that she is a Jamaican master shaman. "The company she represents has been misleading its clients, the consumers," Aronberg told the Post. "That's why I wanted to get hold of this birth certificate. It shows that she's not telling customers who Miss Cleo really is."

I can't believe people actually thought this heffa was real. One of my closest friends is from Jamaica and believe me....her accent sounds nothing like Miss Cleo. I knew she was a fake! Anyone who charges damn near $5 a minute is not a true psychic and enjoys what they do...she was just in it for the money. Every commercial she had was about somebody cheating and "baby momma drama" Not once did anything positive come from her. And apparently old Youree (Miss Cleo) Harris has to lie in the bed that she has made....so I have no sympathy for her.
QUESTION: Why is it that "psychics" can predict everybody else's future but never there own!!!!???? She should have seen this coming.

Oh, she has an accent alright. A Ja-FAKIN' accent.

The news station down here in south florida did an expose on her...they caught her while she was shopping with her assistant in the mall. She was really nice at first. They asked her where she was from, and she was talking all this, "I am a true Jamaican Shaman" mess. When they showed her a copy of her birth certificate, and asked if her real name was Youree Harris, she flipped the script on them and got ignorant saying how they are invading her privacy, yadda yadda....the news station even showed her house and what neighborhood she lives in.
