Has your sorority been represented in a beauty pageant?

Hi everyone, I love sororities and I LOVE to watch beauty pageants: Miss America, Miss USA, Miss Universe, Miss Teen USA, you name it!

Anyhow, I just wanted to poll everyone and if you know of one of your sorority sisters who participated in a pageant, and if so, to please post her name, sorority, the state she represented, and the pageant name (with year)

These are some that I gleaned from websites so far:
Ali Landry - Kappa Delta - Miss USA 1996
Julie Moran - Kappa Alpha Theta - Former America's Junior Miss
Leanza Cornett - Delta Delta Delta - Miss America 1993
Deborah Norville - Delta Delta Delta - Former America's Junior Miss
Shawn Weatherly - Delta Delta Delta - Miss USA and Miss Universe 1980
Donna Axum Whitworth - Delta Delta Delta - Miss America 1964
Sylvia Hitch**** - Chi Omega - Former Miss Universe
Mary Ann Mobley - Chi Omega - Former Miss America
Lynda Mead Shea - Chi Omega - Former Miss America
Juliette Powell - Alpha Omicron Pi (unconfirmed)- Former Miss Canada

Thank you! I am looking forward to your posts! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/cool.gif

Well, not exactly a beauty pageant...the College of Engineering at OU has a rich and long tradition (80+ years)...part of that tradition is choosing a Queen every year, who represents the College at Homecoming and other occasions. In the past few years, three of our sisters have been so honored, including Artimis and yours truly! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

I know last year in the Miss America pageant was an Alpha Chi Omega from I think North Dakotah or somewhere up north! Sorry I can't be more specific, I just remember being told to keep an eye out for her!

Zeta has been represented in many pageants, I see names/etc. in our magazine quite a bit. Phyllis George Brown, Miss America 1971, is a ZTA.

Miss USA is on Friday, March 2nd on CBS!
Let us know if you have a sorority sister representing your GLO!
You can check their website: www.missusa.com
and look under delegates to see the lovely ladies.
