Tonight's Real World Episode
 

Did anyone else watch the Real World tonight? Kyle's friend from Princeton was visiting and while in the hot tub with Cara she asked him if he was in the fraternity too (apparently Kyle's a member of one....anyone know which one?). What upset me was that he said it wasn't for him, which is fine, but he also said that he wasn't into being forced to drink and all that. What the hell! Then later, he has a one night stand with Cara and doesn't plan on calling her until Kyle tells him to? Yeah, it really looks like he's the angel in the picture. Even if Kyle did those things (which I doubt) at least he turned out better and respects women and is an honorable person. Way to go Kyle for showing the world what a real man is. Fraternities must be doing something right.:rolleyes:

Kyle is a Beta Theta Pi from Princeton - he served as president twice - he's spotlighted on www.betathetapi.org as one of the betas (i forgot who sorry!) pointed out :)

Girl, he impresses me too! He's (one) of my future husbands! The wedding is this fall, you coming? :D

I saw the episode last night too. That guy was really rude for saying that he isn't into being forced to drink. But he is into sleeping with some girl he doesn't know. Makes sense...:rolleyes: And i agree that Kyle is real cute!!:D

The guy was honest. Cara asked the guy was she ever going to see him again. He said no. That means the guy is not going to call because it's a one night stand. Cara was wrong for thinking this one night stand is going to turn into something. A one night stand is a wham bam thank you mam. IMHO, he told her the truth so what was disrespectful towards Cara.

Also, that Princeton guy is toying w/ the other girl's feelings. I think the Princeton guy is disrespectful of his girlfriend back home by sleeping (yeah, they claim they didn't have sex) w/ that girl. They act all lovey dovey just like a couple. That IMHO, is disrespectful.

I went to high school with Kyle, and from what I knew of him then and what I see now, he has matured a lot.

This has nothing to do with Kyle, but I was laughing uncontrollably about what Aneesa (sp?) said on the phone to the girl that she had gone on some dates with. I can't think of the line, but it was when she hung up on her. Darn! What was it?!

Also, Kyle has been a real person, and I don't think portraying greek life in too bad of a light. I think he could fit some of the sterotype about the All-American jock in a house, but he even said that was why he thought he had been picked. I think he's helping the greek cause as of how they have shown him so far.

Okay, I really didnt see anything wrong with that Kyles friend. He was just honest. I think that going greek isnt for everyone. We shouldnt judge those who think that it's not for them. Over half of my friends are non greek. On the other hand, I think that if Cara is going to just sleep around with anyone then she shouldnt expect guys to actually respect her. I honestly don't care for her too much so far. I think that she isnt showing herself too well.

I have no problem with greek life not being right for some people, but to spread blatant stereotypes on national television? That's what pissed me off.

Yes, Cara is not the most responsible person. I don't really feel sorry for her, but I think she was hoping that even though it was a one night stand, she was hoping it wouldn't be later. (Which she stated at the end of the show.) I don't sympathize with her promescuity (sp?) but that has to feel awful to wake up after that. Kyle just wanted him to call her once, and that was fine. No one's asking this kid to marry her or anything.

Yeah, Kyle is hanging out with Keri a lot and likes her, but at least he has the decency to not do anything about it. If they had had sex, you KNOW MTV would have capitalized on that and shown it already. Hell, they showed Cara's one night stand and that's pretty damn embarassing. I just think that he's handling himself in a better and more mature manner.

I don't really think the initial issue was the guy being a jerk, it was about his comment about fraternities, which was unnecessary. Figures that MTV would throw that in.


I thought that this was funny as well! I think she said something like "Communicate with this..." or something before hanging up!

I laughed about that all night.

I think Kyle, Cara, and George or whatever his name was are all jagoffs. :p Kyle seems like he is nice to the roomies to their faces & talks about them behind their backs.
