my priest was shot dead today
 

i am absolutely sick-

the priest of my parish was murdered this morning as he was given his sermon. the shooter also killed a 73 year old woman.

i am so upset it is beyond words. father larry was a great man.

the shooter was fired by father larry from his job as custodian because he had stolen money from the church.

this is just so unbelievable

Oh dear, I heard the horrible news! Hun, please be blessed! I know it hurts, but God will deal with whoever did this horrible crime! I am so sorry!

Please know that your priest and the other victims were too good for this Earth and are in a much better place!

I just saw that story on the news. I'm so sorry for your loss. According to the news report, Father Larry had an incredible positive impact on your church. It's a senseless tragedy.

I am so terribly sorry this happened! I'm shocked and sad. Where you witness to the event? Do you know how the custodian is being charged? :(

My thoughts are with you and your parish! What a terrible and AWEFUL thing to happen, and inside God's home too :(

that is so awefule :( I am disgusted that it happened. My prayers are with you and your church.Thats just sad that someone could have it in them or that much hate to murder a Priest. Thats just sick!

my entire town is in shock. there is a memorial service going on right now in the school gym. i never mentioned that my church is attached to a SCHOOL, which was in session. Luckily, none of them were physically hurt. mentally is another story...

i know they have even been showing it as far south as DC on the news. my best friend's mother saw it and almost died when she realized it was my church.

no i didn't witness it. i was at work. but i work only a few blocks away so we were in total lockdown. literally LOCKED in our rooms with the windows and blinds shut. don't know yet what the custodian will be charged with.

oh--and the house the guy lived in always has the nicest christmas decorations. someone always paints the window glass with a festive decoration. i can't believe that's where he lived all this time...

The news was in the NY Times today as well. Terrible. You would think that a house of worship, of all places, would be safe. :(

The news reported that this is the first time that a priest has been killed in a church in the USA. That's big news.

Shooting a man of the cloth? Now there is a worthless human being if I've ever heard of one. if you can do that to someone who preaches nothing but peace and love, you don't deserve to breathe. This world is in a downward spiral kids, reality is too fucked up sometimes. I pray for all of us.

I heard the news on TV here in PA yesterday as well...my thoughts and prayers are with you...Long Islanders stick together :)
