Please Help Me :-(
 

Hi everyone, I am a first time poster here. How are you all? I have a dillemma and I am not trying to start a war here.

I am an African-American woman. A long time friend (and major crush) just joined a predominatly Caucasian GLO (he is Caucasian). You guys I really, really like him. Think I'm falling in love with the guy. I mean, I could tell him anything...he has always been there for me! But I have a small prob. His fraternity brothers and "sweethearts" who apparently like him, are spreading horrible things (prejudiced things) about me and I think it is beginning to change him. You guys I am so broken up inside, how could this happen! I care about him a lot. You guys I have been though so much this year, I need someone to confide in. This situation just brings me to tears....

I really don't want to lose a good friend and potential partner, can you guys offer me any good advice? Has this ever happened to you? Anyone can respond, but to hear from men in GLOs would be great :)

I am sorry you are feeling this way. All I can say is just be his friend like always. If he's always been there for you in the past, he'll be there for you in the future. Have faith. I hope all works out in the end. Let us know.
