Summer, soccer, greeks!

Okay, its summer time and for me that means every monday it soccer time! We started this a few years ago that we get together (all the people we were friends with in HS plus more) and some play soccer, while the rest of us sit on the sidelines and chat... well it turns out every year... the greek side claims more!! (evil laughter)

We have:
2 Phi Sigma Sigma's (from the same chapter http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif )
1 TKE - From RIT I think...
1 Crow (AXP) - Gettysburg
1 Phi Mu - PSU
1 A-Phi-O - Bloomsburg

Did any of your highschool friends go greek too?

Unfortunately, most of my H.S. friends fell victim to common Greek stereotypes and so far, I'm the only one that went Greek out of HS. One of my sisters, however, was someone I went to elementary school with, and graduated in the same class. Woo!

By the way....

I LOVE SOCCER!!!

One is a sig at Ball State and one is a Pike at Indiana State. Also, one of my best friends from HS got a bid from Lambda Chi at IU, but decided not to take it.

This is eerie as all get out, but every male from my graduating highschool class that went greek, 6 to be exact, all went KA. Here is the kicker. My highschool principal and assistant principal are also KA's. When I went back to the ol school one day when I was a freshman in college, I found that out. Summertime in my hometown is just flat out awesome when you get to see all of your old friends and they just happen to all be brothers too. Gotta love that.

Out of all my HS friends, only one went greek... and she's an alumna of my chapter and my grand-lil' sister!

I just finished my freshman year and slowly the counts are coming in. I was the only one who pledged first semester, but lots did 2nd semester. Of the people I used to hang out w/ we have a TON of TKEs, an AEPhi, an AZD, an APO, an AKL, a ZTA, a local, a Crow, and at the moment only 1 SK :-( Oh well, their loss ;-)
