Greek Art!
I actually did a search this time for a topic like this. I was surprised there wasn't one! I have something to share with all of you.
members.nbci.com/oathbound/art/mascotscolor.jpg (sorry it's not a link. NBCI doesn't allow clicking on links to images.) I hope all the A E Phi's, DZ's, KD's, and AGD's are happy. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif It's a drawing I did on the computer, of the mascots of all the sororities on my campus. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif [This message has been edited by KayDeeCareBear (edited June 13, 2001).] |

Do you have any idea how difficult it is to make a turtle look even SLIGHTLY femanine? LoL. I actually like how the squirrel turned out the best, with the giraffe as a second... The Turtle and Bear were the first two I did, so they were kinda the experimental ones. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif How did I do it, newbie? Oh, boy. Quick technical explanation. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif I have a drawing pen for the computer, so I can sketch directly onto it without using a mouse. I used a light grey color to do a "pencil" sketch, then I filled in the color. I shaded next, using the airbrush multiply tool, then I did highlights with the screen tool. Next, I added the detail work, and lastly, I outlined. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif Sunglasses were done with a multiply tool set on low opacity. Of course, I gave the bear the cool army fatigue shirt. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif GO AROTC!! That's it, in a nutshell. Took one day for each of the figures. I also just realized I forgot the middle part on the Giraffe's tail! Oh, no! [This message has been edited by KayDeeCareBear (edited June 13, 2001).] |

I really like looking at art, though, b/c I used to take an Art History class http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif. that's so amazing! And that's so sweet of you to share with us!
