De-pledging??

I'm not sure about this, but is there anything in our constitution that says that we HAVE to initiate everyone we bid? In other words, are we allowed to set rules or set a certain number of events that a pledge has to go to in order to get initiated? We have a couple right now that are not going to ANYTHING and the chapter would like to get rid of them, but we don't know if we are actually allowed to...

a new member has to maintain the same responsibilities as an active member. If actives are required to go to a certain # of events then so are new members. if there is a problem with a new member she is brought up to JBoard the same as any other member and goes through the same process(usually the 3-step process).

ps. you seem to ask a lot of questions...is your chapter new, or are you just excited to find out what other chapters are like?

Unfortunately we are not new... just confused to say the least! Things have been horribly organized and the majority of our e-board is clueless. I am running for archon and I need to learn what is allowed and what is not allowed from other sisters around the country and I am trying to learn alternative ways of doing things because our current "system" is not working.

i understand..my chapter has been having it rough the last couple of years. Our numbers are starting to get up, so now we can focus on all the other issues...I'm just worried because I'm alum this year, and the current archon will be alum after this year and sometimes it seems that we're the only ones that know what's going on, so we worry about next year when we're both gone!
