Please forgive the intrusion but I just had to share some exciting news. My cousin's husband was elected mayor of New Orleans on Saturday night! While our family is proud of Ray, I thought that you all would be more interested in his wife, Selethia. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha! Yeah!!!!

I know she's not a member of my chapter. We'll have some information to chit chat about. ;) :p

I was indeed glad that Nagin won. I live in the neighboring parish, therefore, I could not vote.

HMmmmmmmm, the NPHC sponsored a debate with the 2 candidates and Mr. Nagin was well over 1 hour and a half late. I was :eek: and :mad: cause it was a school night.

I hope he does well with his administration.

The mayors of New Orleans love them some Alpha Kappa Alpha women. NOs present first lady is a Soror (H), as well as Mr. Morial's mother, he is an Alpha.

Is Mr. Nagin a member of an organization? I know he attended Tuskeegee.
