I know I haven't!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think that any quiz shows focus on things like that and I think that the very few times they do, it's to show that they do ask questions about other topics besides what most white people know about. Go figure that!!!

Re: Alpha Kappa Alpha question on the "Weakest Link" Gameshow

I didn't see that particular show, but remember on "Millionaire" when they asked the stepping question. That's cool and all...was the AKA question on a Black History Month episode or something? If not, I wouldn't think that our colors were necessarily something that the general public would recall----many people (some Blacks included, unfortunately) wouldn't know the answer to that question.

What are the official colors of the sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha?
(I swear!!!!)

the four choices were
Blue & Gold
Pink & Green
Purple & Gold
Blue & White

anyway my mother and I were screaming pink and green, but the idiot said Purple and Gold, (Go figure)

I also remember Millionare asking " What is the dance form that was popularized by African American Fraternities and Sororities?"
of course stepping was the answer...

Has anyone seen BGLO's ever mentioned in such a manner before such as quizshows or anything on tv?

Thought it would be a fun topic.... :)

Who want's to be an Ivy?

At our areas Founders Day affair a chapter did a skit that was cute. It was based on the show 'Who Want's to be a Millionaire' but was changed to Ivyaire and you could win AKAdollars. It was real fun and entertaining to say the least. I didn't see either show but people at work were telling me about it.

I heard about that episode. Every one up there was representing a college, which was why they asked that question. I think the person that missed it was of another persuasion.

I remember along time ago on Jeopardy ( I might have been 18 or 19).
The answer was something like This was the first African-American sorority founded on the campus of Howard University in 1908.

The panelists were like older and white but some lady got the answer right!
