Brothers and Sisters

I'm a ZBT brother at the Johnson and Wales campus in Providence RI and our Sisters are SDT but when I went home to NY I was told that SDT's brother fraternity is SAM is this true? And another question how is it decided who your brother or sister greek organiztion is?

I think the whole brother and sister thing depends on what campus you're on and how close you are to a certain fraternity/sorority. On many campuses you dont have brothers frats. or sister sorors.. So while SDT might be your lil sis on your campus, they can be LXA, ATO, DEKE or TEP's on others.

As far as I know, the only official brother and sister groups are Zeta Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma, which are constitutionally bound. Other groups are related at some level; Sigma Kappa and Theta Chi have leaderships seminars together, and AXD acknowledges Sigma Nu's help with their formation. That doesn't mean that they are close to each other on any given campus. There are a few campuses with local Greek systems where there are official brother-sister groups, however.

If you were to come back to campus in 10 years, I bet your fratermity would be hanging out with a totally different sorority than it is today.

Check the creeds bro of each group. I would not say that we are brother and sister but some of our founding fathers helped their founding sisters. So in a sense yes but at the same time no

Check the date of the thread you're responding to. You're answering someone who hasn;t posted in almost 8 years. ;)
