Pref Day Question...
We've been trying very hard to understand the process, but just really have not been able to completely get a grasp on it...
Daughter got her two pref day invites this morning. One is a sorority she loves. The other was one she said she would not accept a bid from. She'll, of course, go to both parties, but at the end of the day, does she still rank them 1 and 2 knowing she would not take a bid from 2? Or just put down her #1? Is that the suicide that we read about? And what are the implications of doing that? Thanks for any feedback. |
I was discussing that on a thread earlier, something like RFM-bids. These are her options after prefs:
1. List both, knowing she could get a bid from either. 2. List only the one she loves, knowing she could be released from recruitment tomorrow morning if she doesn't make that sorority's list. Sometimes a girl will get a call asking if she'll accept a bid from a third group. Sometimes she can get an open bid later on or she can rush in the spring. |
Here's the earlier thread, created in response to questions from some women in the SEC. The 4 women I know suicided; 3 were at the same school and had the same 2 sororities left. None knew each other.
Of the 4, 1 got a bid; the other 3 were released. http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...d.php?t=153163 |
