Nosey People!
 

Have you ever had a problem with people who are just too nosey? Well I have! This week has been the most stressful and annoying week I have ever had! It is all due to some people who decided they were going to be nosey! Has anyone else experienced this?
P.S I did get everything worked out. (well kinda)

I hate nosey people too! Especially when your sitting there and then they come up and constantly say "what, huh?" ugh it aggravates me..I hope all is getting better! =)

Here's another perspective for you . . . Nosey people are also rather flattering.

Think: Its kind of a tribute to you or an indictment of them that their lives are so flat and unintersting that they need to live vicariously through yours. :D

So instead of getting mad at them, smile and charge them a viewers fee:)

As much as I like James' perspective on nosey people, I still cannot contain my dislike towards nosey people. Its only nosey when they have no tact, because if they were truly concerned, I think we wouldn't mind divulging certain information, unless we truly do not feel comfortable with these folks. But if you ask me a question regarding something thats personal to me, or something that I never told you about in the first place, you can assume that this person A) has been gossiping about you, B) is only seeking to get all up in your business without any intention of helping solve whatever the "issue" is. So I don't hesitate to put nosey people on the spot by asking, "How is this relevant to you" or " what makes you think I....". Chances are these people will realize they've overstepped their bounds without you having to embarrass yourself, but instead putting some heat on them. Take care.

There's nothing more annoying that nosy people who ask inappropriate, personal, none-of-their-damn business questions! It is truly bizarre to me that some people seem to go out of their way to probe so deep that it makes you feel checked up on, or profiled....and I hate that. Esperanza, I totally agree with you - nosy people do not ask out of concern, they ask for selfish reasons, as most of the time their own life is so lame they have to live vicariously through interesting people. Esperanza - your advice is actually really good too - but of course for some reason, the nosy people in MY life are so arrogant, they would get pissed at me and probably accuse me of being a bitch. :rolleyes: LAME!

James - I agree that in some cases, this nosiness may be a form of demented flattery, but not one that I want to bask in the glow of, that's for sure! :D

Nosey interested people sometimes are just concerned. I can't stand tacky people. The people who ask personal questions like how much things cost just offend me. :rolleyes:
