Exercise...fav programs, DVDs, methods, etc
I'm an avid runner, but it's hot as satan's belly here in Georgia so I'm not running outdoors as much (former marathoner and have done a few half marathons) and running on a treadmill is akin to having bamboo shoots shoved under my fingernails even if the treadmills have TVs and can watch The Real Housewives of Wherever. So what do you folks like for exercise? For strength, I've always been a fan of Les Mills BodyPump and since outdoor cardio is out of the question for now, been doing their cycle classes, RPM. Also recently started doing barre classes to mix it up (if I get too much in a pattern, I burn out). Holy butt soreness, Batman! I need to do yoga since I'm so not flexible. Use to do it regularly and could def tell a difference in my flexibility, but it moves too slow for me. It's so interesting that there are manic folks like me who need constant change and others are creatures of habit.

My cardio of choice is the treadmill. If I get tired of walking and running, I will do one of Chalene Johnson's DVDs or something free on demand (Xfinity/Comcast). I tried my fraternity brother Shaun T's program, but it nearly killed me. LOL

I walk and do Pilates, yoga, and take barre classes. My days of high impact are over.;)

I like Shaun T too. Don't do Insanity that much unless I need some cardio in a pinch. I'm normally not a DVD exercise girl. I use them when I can't make it to the gym. Been recently doing Physique 57 online. It moves pretty fast which is perfect for my ADD self. :D

P57 is barre on speed!:D Good stuff.

I do 30 day shred, kickboxing and a ballet/yoga combo.

KYKAT, my abs, butt, arms and hams are always sore for days after doing P57. lol Owie! I like the barre class at my gym, but I wish we had a P57 type one. We do arms with light weights like it, but wish it also had the Pilates inspired components.
