Where are our stories?

In past years, Auburn moms and dads have been frequent posters about their daughter's recruitments. Followed by Alabama new members and moms/dads.

Other than dgdramadawg's usual excellent story currently on-going, there is nothing...crickets.

I am ready for Missouri to get cranked up because there has been discussion on these boards about this recruitment.

Come on, Oklahoma State, Auburn, Alabama, and soon to be Georgia... old biddies like me on Greek Chat need some stories!

I'm with you, Ladybug! FSU starts tomorrow and UF on Wednesday so maybe we will get something out of one of these schools.

We STRONGLY encourage PNMs to wait to post their stories after rush is over. Many of these girls have just received their bids. Give them a little more time to get over the exhaustion and exhilaration!

Maybe PNMs finally got the hint - wait until it's over. I am waiting on the helicopter moms to start shortly. We usually get at least one posting about how her precious perfect snowflake with no recs, no connections, didn't get a "top tier" house.

My daughter still has a year to go, but we are anxiously awaiting the news of friends at UT and TCU and then eventually Ole Miss. It is getting her so excited for her own recruitment to hear from her friends going through. Wherever her own story ends up i know this will be the first place I share to because of all the advice and kindness we are already receiving.

Texas recruitment starts today (have a rec girl rushing). Can't wait to find out how she's doing or where goes.

Spam...

Lately the forums are so jammed with spam - it is possible that individuals don't view it as an appropriate venue in which to share their stories.

1. Too many "sticky" posts. Annoying.
2. Way too many "retro" stories. Super annoying.
3. Too many bumps of stories posted from previous years. Aggravating.
4. Too many people telling pnms what they can and can't say. Rude.

Other than that, this page is really entertaining.

Boy, you're really living up to your user name.

I don't mind the retro or bumped threads but I'm sick of seeing Michael Kors and Oakley. lol

Ding Ding Ding.

And despite the fact that many of us don't like that ranking site, the truth is that it's popularity has grown while interest in GC is diminishing. Why fight through all the Michael Kors and Oakley crap when they can go to a site that is school specific and no spam?

This is evident even in the "users online currently" and "past 24 hours box" on GC. It is a fraction of what it has been in past years in August.

Even many of our regular posters have abandoned this site.

Hopefully James will listen to our pleas and put measures in place to fix the spam issue. Otherwise, sadly, this site is just not going to be appealing to new users.

I think this is the site that is thought of for alums and Moms. Not younger girls. Hopefully, not too many BELIEVE what they see on that other site, because that is simply a train wreck.
