The South's Most Beautiful Sorority Houses
A friend just shared this article from Southern Living. The sororities are:
Kappa Kappa Gamma at Arkansas Chi Omega at University of Missouri Zeta Tau Alpha at University of Tennessee Delta Gamma at University of Alabama (hey Titchou!) Alpha Delta Pi at University of North Texas Alpha Phi at University of Alabama Alpha Gamma Delta at University of South Carolina Tri Delta at University of Mississippi Chi Omega at Southern Methodist University Kappa Delta at University of North Carolina Phi Mu at University of Georgia honeychile, pretty sure this article went to the publisher before the ADPi house at Ole Miss was completed. ;) |
Honestly, there are so many incredible houses, I'm not even sure how you can narrow it down!
That KKG house exterior looks like the Kappa house at FSU. Our interior was more shabby chic however...
I think it's a fantastic list. Honestly, there are so many fabulous houses at those campuses, it would be have to pick... but I think Southern Living did a great job.
It is a great list- but I was kind of surprised the ZTA House at Texas was not included. I always thought that house was gorgeous!
How does each chapter finance it - the initial costs and then year-long maintenance? Is funding given by alumni?
Parlor fees (for live-outs)/live-in costs contribute a lot
Theta Chi of Alabama received a new house which cost about $7MILL, but where did that money come from?
Alums, Nationals, a mortgage
I have now toured the inside of 3/11 of these houses. Spectacular!!
FSU has some gorgeous, historical homes. They are not McMansions, nor are they new, which is why I think they were not considered.

Look at the arrow pulls on the dresser drawers. What a cute detail.
