Excuses
Does anyone have the citation (and full quote) for "Excuses"? As in "I do not know, I do not have an excuse..."
Thanks! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif ------------------ @~~^~~~~ Subtlety is the key ;o) |
I am unsure if each organization has a different quote for "EXCUSES". I am a Zeta and I know the one for Zeta Phi Beta Sigma. Since I don't know which organization you are with, I think it would be wise for me not to provide the quote. Sorry http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif

This is an Very unsecure site. So I believe that we should all as BGLOs and GLOs remeber that some of the information that would be common to all of us, should not be common to everyone. I am a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Inc. The most Knoble Klan of men to walk the face of this earth, and we like most other organizations have certain info that should not be shared with anyone. So I would suggest that we all refraim from sharing or asking for such information on this site.
No offense ment to those who are not in GLOs. |
Um, this quote came from a proverb. Published many times. I was trying to find the author's citation- if there was one.
I had no idea this poem was a secret. Because I actually found it online. As one person once said, "just because the information is out there doesn't mean that secrets are revealed. If you're not in the organization, you don't know what the rituals/songs/etc. really mean." Perhaps one day, all will be made clear to me. ------------------ @~~^~~~~ Subtlety is the key ;o) |
That's like our password– it's out there in front of everyone, but no one would ever guess http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif

My question to you is in response to the quote you had in your last post...Why would you want to know something if you'll never know what it means? That makes no sense to me. Please explain.

Ok, I don't remember by name but, please read and collect my reply to your message as you identify the original message-
NUPE, I hear you baby!!!!!! I would never tell people my secrets, not my kids, man, family. However, it is our job to teach others about our organizations- There are many things said about us and, many times because we fail to show the ignorant the true meaning of our orgs. and their importance. Excuses- As far as the poem goes, From my experience it is the same for most of us- I know for fact of other orgs. that have the same version as me. Not all you learned during your process is a secret- Many times is not what you say but how you say it- PEACE!!!!!! COME" ON MY FELLOW GREEK BROs and SORORS!!!!! EVERYONE TEACH ONE!!!!!!!!!!!1 yo!!!!!!1 I amreading this book "Our Kind of People" I say you should read it- WHAT DO YOU THINK OF "THE DIVINE NINE, Th ehist. of African Amer. Frat. and Sororities"? |
it is true that there are very few secrets in our organization, but, there are things that are not common knowledge and it should remain so. those are the things that bind us together and make us special so why would anyone blast them over the net?
|
DSTbrat, I hear you, no doubt secrets are our to keep but, I think we MUST teach others to the best of our abilities and show them what make us all so great- BELIEVE ME!!!! I WORKED TOOOO HARD FOR WHAT I KNOW- I would not pass it down to anyone-
but.... somethings are worth teaching as long as they are not secrets- Peace to you. |

LOL OKAY Y'ALL! I'm glad y'all could come together on this topic. If it weren't so entertaining, http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif I would regret my request. Let's take this in order: Evident: I know what the phrase means initially (prima facie), and that's good enough. I don't know what they mean to each member's group, nor do I want to. I was saying that, just because info i out there, it doesn't mean that true meanings are out there as well. GFK: Thank you, that was somewhat the point, but I guess, as a non-BGLO member, I'll constantly be challenged on that- because I am an "outsider." Everyone else: I sincerely apologize for raising eyebrows, or upsetting people. I just wanted the citation to share with someone.
