Is the recruitment process over?
 

Hey, my name is Stephen Walker. I'm a freshman at Mississippi State University. I'm majoring in Petroleum Engineering. Anyways, I had a few quick general questions about the whole Rush process. I'm from Michigan so I've been super busy the past few days getting things set up here and I wasn't aware of the rushing process until today.

Today is the day all the fraternities are placing their bids I guess. I contacted about 5-6 of them and some of them said their recruitment process is over for the fall and some said I could still drop by next week.

So I was wondering, is it very unlikely to get accepted into a fraternity if I am rushing as late as I am and do fraternities at Mississippi State prefer rushees to be from the South or does that matter? Would it be weird for me to try and join in the spring semester or in the fall of my sophomore year if I can't get in this year?
