Re-admission Initiation

I attended an HBCU for the 14-15 school year. I won't be going back until the Spring '16 as a re-admit. Due to family emergencies I've attempted 28 credits but earned only 1 credit at the institution. I will have 31 overall credits with a 2.75 GPA when I go back in Spring '16. The GPA requirement is 2.7. Can I be initiated into an NPHC for the Spring '16 line with 31 overall credits but only 1 from the actual institution? would I still be considered a transfer even if I've been to the school already?

I'm not sure about your background. Is this the ONLY college you've attended? It sounds like you just dropped out for a while but you bring up "transfer." Transfer only applies if you've been to another institution. Now, what any particular group requires for that particular school is another question altogether and one for that group only. I suggest you check with them.

Since I had transferred in from another school, I did not have the required 30 resident units and I lost some units in transferring to GSU so I became a froshy (:mad: ) and I was not eligible to join but I did attend rush. The only “social” orgs on campus were six of the Great Eight ( IPhiTheta wasn’t in NPHC yet). I attended 3 rushes and learned everything I could about the groups. And although I was not able to rush, the SGRho ladies kept in touch with me and invited me to events with them for the rest of the school year. They really left a lasting impression with me.
