Alumni Associations?

My fiance recently found out he has been accepted to the Unversity of Maryland's Graduate School of Business at College Park. I will be going with him and am curious to know if their are any local alumnae groups for my sorority (Alpha Delta Pi) or a local alumnae Panhellenic group I can join. I've visited the ADPi Nationals website and they're are no links available (or even contact #'s) for MD and the Greater Washinton DC ADPi Alum Association link is broken. I know very few people in the area and am looking for a group of women with whom I already share some similar background. Does anyone know of a group I can contact? Or where I should look next? We won't be moving until early August, so I'm in no hurry for an answer.

Thanks in advance!

best,
Sara

Why don't you try calling your headquarters? I am sure that someone there can help you.

You can also try Newcomers' Club - www.newcomersclub.com/md.html

It is primarily a women's organization but men are welcome to join too. Its purpose is to help new residents get acclimated to their town and offers a wide variety of programs. Just like in your sorority each chapter/club is different. I am the youngest in mine and I will be 35. ;) The age difference isn't really that big of a deal. We all like to have a good time.

Good luck to you and your fiance.

allgreek, try greekpages.com . You can find by Greek ID or by School.

There are a bunch around the Baltimore area!:)

I am sure your GLO is near there somewhere!:)

Doesn't Yahoo or ICQ type webpages have searches by orgs? Just an idea! Have fun!

Another suggestion is when football season starts, search the sports pages for alumnae groups.:)

I think that you should write to your sorority's headquarters and your alma mater to see if there are Alumni Associations in the Maryland and Washington, D.C. area for you.

UMCP has a strong chapter of ADPi, so if nothing else, those girls should be able to lead you towards the local alumnae association. Good luck :)
