those wacky credit card companies...
 

Well it seems like the good folks at MNBA have had a change of heart lately.

I was denied re-activation of my credit card because my student loans that have gone into repayment (although i'm still in school, long story...) are eating away a considerable portion of my income - too much of my income, to maintain a credit card. Yet a little over a week ago I received my credit statement suggesting that it was indeed re-activated....and now, i received an offering to vie for the platinum card with a $100,000 limit.....how in the hell they decided I should be given this I have no idea.

Just because they invited you to apply for the $100,000 card doesn't mean there's any way in hell they'd give to you. I've applied for platinum cards before, been approved, and got my card in the mail with a $1,000 credit limit. They decide what you actually get once you've applied, and then they might bump it up (the limit) over time if you build a good record with them.

MBNA sucks...plain and simple They are already settling with someone, so they wont have to go to court
