funny local news story...
I tried to find this listed on the local channel website, but have failed so far.
So, I'm watching the news a few days ago, and they start talking about the SPCA working with the local police dept. of a nearby town. It seems that a bull was on his way to slaughter and decided that just wasn't going to happen. They get him out of the transport vehicle, and he runs away! So, they team up some local PD's and get a chopper in the air to track down the runaway bull. The evening news showed a picture of the "missing cow" and asked anyone with leads to call "COWSTOPPERS." Just had to share. :D |
Good for the bull; I don't blame him one bit! I imagine he could wreck some havoc, however! Especially if he somehow got into a china shop. ("Bull in a china shop" - get it???? Umm, nevermind  )

I've heard he's still on the loose...

This is a similar true story. In 1999 a bull going off to slaughter decided he had a different idea. He broke free and ran all around Queens, NY. The police managed to catch the bull and shot it 41 times. The ASPCA and PETA got involved until they realized it was in a heavily residential neighborhood with families about to go to church and the bull weighed a ton or two. The bull was killed one block away from my house. When my sister saw the story, she looked at me and said, "Barbeque across the street!":D She cracked me up!
KillarneyRose - I liked the bull in the china shop reference. |
barbeque across the street...
LOL! That is too funny! I'm going to watch out my window now... :) The bull is wandering around a neighboring county, so I don't think they'll find him down my street. I wouldn't know what to think if I were out somewhere in a major city and noticed a cow looking into my car....
