Gamma Phi launches GammaPhiBetaHistory.org
I just stumbled upon the press release section of the Gamma Phi website, and saw this release:
http://www.gammaphibeta.org/aspnet_client/FreeTextBox/upload/documents/News/Gamma%20Phi%20Beta%20History%20Website%20Release.pdf Centennial, CO – Gamma Phi Beta Sorority is proud to announce the launch of its new historyfocused website, GammaPhiBetaHistory.org. Organized by decades, users can explore Gamma Phi Beta’s rich history through an interactive timeline – from details about how the Sorority’s four Founders came together, to the creation of the Sorority’s beautiful badge and individual collegiate chapter history. The expansive site also features Sorority topics, such as museum items that are on display at Gamma Phi Beta International Headquarters and all of the Sorority’s Grand and International Presidents. Whether users choose to read the site from start to finish, or jump to an era that is of interest, the user-friendly navigation and storytelling is captivating. “As we reflect on Gamma Phi Beta’s legacy, there is much to be proud,” said International President Krista Spanninger Davis (Bowling Green). “From sharing our values and goals across the continents, to working together to support war efforts, to providing meaningful experiences for young girls who could benefit from strong role models and guidance, Gamma Phi Beta’s continue to make a difference in the world around us.” GammaPhiBetaHistory.org engages members and non-members alike to explore the legacy of the Sorority’s past. With members inspiring the highest type of womanhood each day, the site also encourages users to submit history to further celebrate the Sorority’s accomplishments. The website serves as more than an educational tool, but as a resource to connect individual members and chapters to international Gamma Phi Beta. The website is being promoted with the hashtag #ExploreTheLegacy. |
Holy Batman, the historian in me is very jealous. This is absolutely wonderful, and I hope more organisations develop resources like this!
