The best glut exercise

What are the best firm your buns exercises you'v come across? Just curious to see what I can add to the routine. FYI-I hate doing videos so anything other than that if possible.

Sit against a wall like you are sitting in a chair but the wall is holding up your position. Try and stay like that for as long as you can. You will feel it in your butt and thighs!

The best overall lower body exercise is the squat. Can't beat it for overall toning. For gluts I also like lunges and dead lifts.

Yeah I agree, Squats, and for max Glute building: stiffed leg dead lifts. You will have round buns of steel if you do them.

lots of those exercises are going to do more to bulk up the glutes than trim down...for that it's got to be overall weight loss, since you can't really just lose weight in one target area! But my favorite exercise for toning the bum and thigs are to lay on your back against a wall with your legs up at a 90 degree angle and proceed to lift pelvis. It sounds so odd, I know! But it works well for the bum and thigh-burning sensation that we're goin for. :)

The only way to truly reshape your body is to do strength training. Something like 2% of women have the genes even necessary to become truly massive, so it isn't something most women should worry about. Building muscle can boost your metabolism up to 15%, and something like 60% of your body's muscles are in your legs. So the way I see it, exercises like squats, dead lifts and lunges are really the only way you will ever get a fit body (granted some people just want to be skinny, but I go for fit - I expect it from the guys I go for so I can't hold myself to a lesser standard).

steal these moves!!

Get a Rubbermaid step stool tool box, about 13" high. Use it as a step: Step up-up, down-down but Slowly because otherwise you might miss and/or fall off. Use weights while you're stepping, either delt lifts, bicep curls, or just resting on your shoulders...I like that because the weights help my balance. Vary the steps, too: up-down on one side, then the other. You can do lots of variations.

Roundhouse kicks from kickboxing work well, too. Get into form by squatting, then pull you left foot in to your right heel so it's pointing to your left side and SLIGHTLY forward. This will also bring your right hip forward a little and up. Keep your hands curled in fists, protecting your face. Bring your right knee up, which will cause you to shift your balance to your left leg and lean slightly forward. Kick forward from behing with your right leg, keeping your foot relaxed, not pointed. The leg will travel in a circle to the full extension. Bring it down. Repeat on other side.

That's not a very good description...I can demonstrate better than I can describe, but I bet you can find pictures in a fitness magazine.

Plies also work: Feet slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, bent your knees over your feet but don't go past your toes, squeeze your butt to come up. Keep your pelvis tucked under and your back straight.

Jennifer Lopez, eat your heart out :)

Piles work wonders!!! funny you mention JLo she was on tv, and they asked her she keeps in shape or something along those lines and she said she has a trainner but before, she used to just run, use a tredmill and the stairmaster but both aren't great for your knees if you have weak knees! So be careful with whatever excercise you choose.

LMAO.....Did I read that right? It must be a new form of firming up...haha. If you look in the dictionary, piles mean hemorrhoids.

Well, wasn't it an old wives tale from beauty pagents to put hemmroid cream under your eyes to reduce puffiness? Piles might be the answer!! :) he he he just kidding!
