Yes, Yup, Ya, Yip or other?

What say you GCers?

I go with Yes or Yup.

WhiteRose1912 07-02-2015 09:11 AM

Yeah mostly, followed by yep and yes.

DeltaBetaBaby 07-02-2015 02:08 PM

I usually use "yah" when texting or typing informally.

Kevin 07-02-2015 03:13 PM

Yep and yes.

And yeah.

Sen's Revenge 07-02-2015 03:18 PM

Yeah, mmm-hmm, and yes.

aephi alum 07-02-2015 08:57 PM

"Yes" if I am in a formal business setting, such as an interview or a conversation with a client.

Otherwise, "yeah".

When Doves Cry 07-02-2015 09:11 PM

"yeah" and "yes", sometimes "yup"
Depends on the situation, who I'm talking to, and if it's written or spoken :)

All I can think of is lyrics within the song, "Get A Job".

Anyone watch Storage Wars? There's a guy who's auction, um, "call" or "response", I guess, is kind of a "yiiiiiiii-uuuuupp". That's the closest I can think of, in the non-Muppet category.
