Most Embarrasing Greek Moment
Hi All!!!
Now I know that everybody has had a moment in their greek lives where they have made a complete fool out of themselves in front of your own house/another fraternity or sorority/the entire greek system! Let's hear them all!!! I'll even get the ball rolling. Mine was two years ago at Delta Chi's Deltiki event. I was the first leg of the swimming relay, and we were all lined up at the edge of the pool, and I thought that I heard someone shout go, and I took off. When I got to the other side of the pool, I saw every face in the entire Long Beach State greek system staring at me! I waved to everyone, and then turned around and swam back. I was mortified I was so embarrassed, and I still get razzed about that to this day. The only plus side, was that later that night at the awards dinner, I got an award for the "Best False Start" Greek Love, Lil Snakey K |
Ooh, that's rough! Mine's pretty tame, but seemed totally embarassing at the time. It was the day after bid day, and I was just starting to get a bit used to living in the house but still feeling like a guest...I was walking down the narrow back stairwell and all of a sudden *BAM!* I was hit by the 2nd floor door and knocked down on my bum! A sophomore had opened it forcefully not knowing anyone was coming down and taken me out...I laughed it off but I was so embarassed at the time because she felt so badly, now it just seems funny!

This is not a greek moment. It is just an embarrassing moment. On Wednesday February 13th, 2002, my birthday, I was meeting my mother for dinner and a play. I was crossing the street to get to the restaurant on time. Somehow, I fell in the middle of the street. I'm still not sure how it happened, but I wound up on the ground on my right side from my knee to my shoulder. I picked myself up afraid that I might have injured myself. A man comes over and asks me if I am ok. I said that I was more embarrassed than hurt and smiled. Out of the blue this woman starts laughing,"HA HA you fell down!" in a sing song voice that sounds like Nelson from The Simpsons. I give her a look like WTF. Then another guy says,"That's not funny. Now if you fell on your face, cracked you head open, and were bleeding on the street that would be funny." I walked away as quickly as possible. Who knows what these people are capable of doing?! There really are some freaks in New York City!

At my very first grab-a-date, I was trying to not dance because I have no rhythm. One of the girls in my pledge class who I didn't know very well came up and practically dragged me out onto the dance floor. I warned her that I couldn't dance, but she didn't listen.... We weren't out there more that 30 seconds when I managed to elbow her right in the eye. I was totally embarrased and she was in a fair amount of pain. I am still teased about that to this day; however, she helped me acquire some rhythm (in self defense!), and we are now very close friends. :D

I am in MGB and pull up at a stop light behind AGD. When got back to the House, My unmentionables were on the front lawn with all of the guys waiting for me to give a big horse laff!:o |
