What are you reading? Part 2

Just got through with "Soul Mates Dissipate" by Mary B. Morrison. VERY GOOD!!!
I'm now reading "It's a Thin Line" by Kimberla Lawson Roby, she's good as well.
Anyone belong to Black Expressions?

Hi Soror!

I'm a member of black expressions. I just recently purchased It's A Thin Line and another of Mrs. Roby's book(The name escapes me now) through Black Expressions. How do you like the BE club? My only complaint is that they do not always carry the older books of some authors. I'm currently reading two books, Joy by Victoria Christopher Murray and Redemption Song by Bertice Berry.

Finished Sisters of Kappa Theta Phi(SP). It was better then I thought. Also just read Patti's Pearl's by Patti Labelle, not very good. Now I'm reading Where The Heart Is.

I didn't like Sisters of Theta Phi Kappa. I thought it would have something to do with the sorority but that seemed to be way in the background. I kinda feel like she used the sorority part to get us to buy it.

I felt the exact same way when I read it. It could have been called 1001 other things because it had more to do with women than with the sorority. Plus some of her terminology was off and that "call" was so    -- glad to see I was not the only one.

I am just started reading the sisters of Theta Phi Kappa by Kayla Perrin, and when I'm finished, I'm going to read Hot Johnny :D :D

I read Addicted by Zane and I didn't think it was that great.

all of his books that i've read so far are really good.

I've been writing a black romance novel of my own

What I'm reading

I'm reading The Brethren by John Grisham...so far, so good

This summer I've also read:
 • Drop by Mat Johnson
 • What You Owe Me by BeBe Moore Campbell
 • Rhythms by Donna Hill

Drop was/is kinda hard to get into...What you Owe Me is fairly good and Rhythms was good, but the ending could have been better...;)

Soror Zora

I am currently reading Zora Neale Hurston's book "Seraph on the Suwanee".

It is REALLY good, I can hardly put it down to start work!

Married Men

While vacationing in Jamaica, I read Married Men by Carl Weber. I thought it was predictable, but good. Especially, since I could relate to the sistas in the book. If anyone else has read it. Let me know your thoughts. It was definitely an easy read.

My girlfriend and I got into a debate on a couple issues brought out by the book.

Another good read was Near Perfect. I can't recall the author, but I thought it was excellent.
